Charlie Haas comments on Shelton
Why Shelton Benjamin, like himself, has not been used to the best of his ability during his time in the WWE: "It's either someone doesn't like him in creative or he's just too good of a wrestler, or he just makes things look too good & too easy, or it's just very political. Someone at the time doesn't want him to succeed. They have who they want to push, and he's just not one of them. And it's unfortunate, because he is probably the most God-gifted athlete in sports (pro wrestling & the WWE), but they don't want to utilize that, so it's their loss. That's why I'm begging him not to sign back. He'll probably stay for the money, but he could utilized a lot better elsewhere I'll tell you that."

Jim Ross Interview - Shelton mention
Another guy that would have been pretty good in MMA was, ironically enough, the other kid we signed from Minnesota the year before Brock Lesnar. Shelton Benjamin. He was an All American sprinter the same year he was the national champion heavyweight wrestler. You don't ever see that combination. He ran a 4.3 or 4.4 40 yard dash and was a great track star. He was incredibly gifted. As a matter of fact, he was Brock's workout partner during his senior year. Shelton might have been really good if he'd chosen to do MMA.

Plans For MITB Winner
The winner of the Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania is expected to cash in his shot sooner than usual, possibly even that evening. The decision will likely hinge on what WWE has planned for July's Money in the Bank pay-per-view. (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

CALDWELL'S WWE SUPERSTARS TV REPORT 3/11
SHELTON BENJAMIN vs. DOLPH ZIGGLER
Ziggler dominated early on and nailed a Rocker Dropper one minute into the match for a two count. Meanwhile, Striker talked up the MITB match, with a little bit too much of that Christian-Shelton ECW Title build-up focusing on the "performance aspect" rather than striving for a victory and a championship opportunity. Shelton then made a comeback and scored with a Samoan Drop for a two count. The match then moved to the top rope and they had an awkward spot with both men flying off the top turnbuckle. Ziggler followed with the Zig Zag and he scored a two count only. Ziggler flipped out, then he tried a sleeper on Shelton. Shelton reached for the ropes, but Ziggler pulled him back to center ring as Shelton's eyes faded out. The ref then called for the bell with Ziggler picking up the win.


WINNER: Ziggler via sleeper submission in 4:00. Interesting match, with re-emphasis on Ziggler in with the early offense and victory. We'll see if this is a sign of things to come with WWE perhaps putting more emphasis behind Zig.

WWE News: Cody Rhodes has a lot to say in live chat this afternoon promoting WrestleMania
-- Cody, who is a heel and can get away with some comments playing his part, took a big shot at Shelton Benjamin, calling him the worst WWE wrestler on the roster.


"Shelton is one of the better amateur wrestlers -- he was an All-American," he said. "But in the WWE, I'd say Shelton is the worst."
