ECW Result - 29th April 2008
Match #1 - Shelton Benjamin (Orangeburg, S.C.) vs. Kofi Kingston (Jamaica)
Honestly, there might not be a better entrance music in WWE than Kofi Kingston. In real news, this is a rematch from last week, where Benjamin dominated the whole match before feeling Trouble in Paradise.
Benjamin grabs a mic before the match and says Kingston's win last week was a fluke.
Much like last week, Benjamin is in total control. He beats Kingston from pillar to post before going for a superplex. Kingston pushes him off and hits a flying crossbody, but Shelton rolls through and gets a two count.
From there, the legalized mugging continues until Kingston, once again, hits "that roundhouse kick", according to Adamle, or, to those of us who know ECW, Trouble in Paradise for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Kofi Kingston
In the ring, Benjamin is, to say the least, not happy

ECW On Sci-Fi Results - April 22, 2008
Kofi Kingston offered Shelton Benjamin a handshake backstage in advance of their match later tonight. Shelton refused and guaranteed victory.
Kofi Kingston v. Shelton Benjamin
Kofi hit a strong dropkick to begin but was caught going for a crossbody as Benjamin hit a shoulderbreaker. Shelton went to an arm bar one minute in the match, making it 14 out of the last 15 matches that he has used a rest hold (including the last week’s 8-man tag). He did some more work on the left arm before he was caught off the top rope with a Kofi dropkick. That led to a near fall. Shelton then went right back to the arm bar. Both guys at least did some nice mat work from that position. Back standing, Kofi landed a sloppy trouble in paradise for the abrupt ending. The match was way too short to accomplish its goal of elevating Kofi. And knowing how short the match was going to be, was there really a need for an extended rest period?

Good News: Last week's ECW caps have been added I will be taping this weeks show too and adding those caps...weekly caps will be added from now on.
Bad News: No Mania caps When we transfer it to DVD, the DVD won't tape it. So I can't get any caps or media, unfortunately

ECW Results for w/c 1st April 2008
Shelton Benjamin's music hit and Shelton stepped out on stage to join Chavo. Shelton took the mic and asked, "Are you feeling lucky, Punk?" Everyone groaned. Shelton said the only reason why Punk has that briefcase because two men tipped him over the top rope through a ladder. After a very long pause, Shelton said a normal man would be laid up in the hospital. But he's the gold standard. Punk said he looks forward to that, Goldilocks. And he also looks forward to proving why he's Money in the Bank and Shelton isn't.
In-ring: Chavo Guerrero came to the ring for the main event. Shelton Benjamin then came out second to join him. Punk led out the babyface team, and Styles asked what kind of shape Punk can be in after MITB on Sunday and wrestling Jericho last night on Raw. Kane did his entrance to round out the field.
3 -- ECW champ KANE & C.M. PUNK vs. CHAVO GUERRERO & SHELTON BENJAMIN
Hard-hitting action early on, as all four men traded blows before Kane dumped Shelton to the outside. Kane then dumped Chavo over the top rope to the floor and the babyfaces stood tall before a break.
[Commercial Break]
They returned with Punk and Kane trading control working over Shelton. Punk blocked a splash in the corner and tried the G2S, but Chavo held onto the ropes long enough for Shelton to smash him with a kick. Chavo then went to work on Punk's back and shoulders at 10:00.
[Q5 -- over-run]
Punk tried to fight out of the heel corner, but Chavo cut him off and Shelton continued the beating on Punk. Chavo got caught in the corner and Punk smashed him with a running knee and bulldog. Punk finally made it to the corner and made the hot tag to Kane, who cleaned house. He ran into a back elbow from Shelton, then Shelton punted him in the chest. Kane shook it off and landed a big boot to the chest for good measure. Kane then went up top, but Chavo ran into the corner and crotched him. Punk then tagged himself in and smashed Shelton with a kick to the face. He followed with the Go 2 Sleep, then made the cover for the pin and the win. Afterward, Chavo talked trash on the outside while Kane and Punk stood tall in the ring.
WINNERS: Kane & Punk in 15:00. Good main event match to re-establish the key players on the ECW brand going forward from WrestleMania. Not going to draw big ratings, but it gives ECW an identity each week. (**)

While Shelton Benjamin demonstrated why he calls himself the “Gold Standard” of ECW when he defeated Carlito in a preview to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Benjamin wasn’t able to keep up his hot streak at WrestleMania XXIV. Neither he or fellow ECW Superstar John Morrison could become “money” and earn the Extreme title opportunity
