WWE U.K. Tour house show results
April 23, 2009
Glasgow, Scotland
Report by Robert M., PWTorch.com reader
U.S. champion MVP beat R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin in a three-way match to retain the U.S. Title. Crowd didn't know whether to boo or cheer for MVP. R-Truth got a strong reaction, although shouting "what's up" got tired after 36th time. These guys weren't operating at even 50 percent of ability and match was only fair as a result. MVP won with playmaker on Shelton.

WWE's 20 Greatest Unsung Heroes
These twenty WWE stars contribute a lot to the company. But will they get the respect and success that they deserve?
by Henry Jenkins
#1 Shelton Benjamin: Shelton Benjamin has all of the tools to be the next Bret "The Hitman" Hart or Shawn Michaels. He's mastered a broad repertoire of moves that are as beautiful to watch as they are exciting. He's got a great look, a lot of charisma and the respect that comes with paying your dues. I'd love to see all of his hard work eventually pay off but I'm not sure it's ever going to happen

Raw Result - 13th April 2009
Christian (Smackdown) vs. Shelton Benjamin (ECW)
Shelton gets a Northern Lights suplex right away for two, and then delivers a kick to the face for another two. Christian hits a drop toehold sending Shelton into the second rope, and then jumps over the top rope to deliver a right hand. Christian goes to the top, but Shelton comes right up jumping to the top and throwing Christian off. Christian rolls to the floor, but Shelton fires him back inside for two. Bodyslam connects for Shelton, and he follows with a crossface armbar. Christian punches free, and whips Shelton to the buckle. Shelton hops to the top rope after a whip, but misses on the high risk move. Christian catches a boot, and ducks an enzaguri. Christian goes for the killswitch, but Shelton counters into an electric chair attempt. Christian slides down, but Shelton hits a modified backbreaker for two. Christian goes for a monkeyflip, but Shelton lands on his feet. Stinger splash attempt misses, and Christian hits the killswitch for the win at 3:53 to give ECW their obligatory pick. This was about as good of a four minute match as you could have.
Winner: Christian (Pinfall-Killswitch **1/2)
Tenth Pick: Vladimir Kozlov (From Smackdown to ECW)

Dear WWE No. 5: This Is How The Draft Should Work
In my fifth edition of Dear WWE, I will be discussing the upcoming draft.
As any WWE fan knows, after Mania, we have the draft. This is a chance for the WWE to make some roster changes to make some more exciting matches. Here are my opinions on who should move where.
Shelton Benjamin—He should go back to ECW, where he can shine as the top heel, instead of finding himself not on the PPVs.

Dear WWE No. 6: Ideas For New Feuds and Matches
Next is Shelton Benjamin vs Charlie Haas. I know that Haas hasn't been on TV for awhile but these two did make a great tag team. Its only natural to want to see the two former tag champs face off. I think that Haas can keep up with Benjamin and put on a great show.

My View On Mania
Why Punk???
He was 'given the ball' last year, and clearly dropped it.
Why does he deserve another chance to go for a title???
This match is to elevate someone to that 'next level'
I really wanted Shelton to win...but I wouldn't have been bothered if any of the following would have gotten the briefcase...Kofi, Chrisitian (last choice), Kane, MVP
Punk was not on my list....and from the feeling I get, he wasn't on many people's lists.
I actually heard boos when he got the win...the best thing for the WWE now, is to make Punk heel...
Shelton must feel really disappointed right now...the WWE NEEDS to step him up to the next level, otherwise he'll wonder what the heck he has to do, to please them ![]()
But never fear...we all know Shelton can prove the WWE wrong...and wow us all with his athletic ability...just like he did AGAIN in the MITB

Live WrestleMania XXV blog: Money in the bank ladder match
Another surprise here, as CM Punk wins the Money in the Bank for the second straight year, in about 15 minutes.
Anyone who thought this year's ladder match wasn't going to be as good as those from past years was proven wrong. The presence of bigger competitors such as Mark Henry and Kane did not take away from the match at all. In fact, Henry's strength was used to create some innovative spots.
Speaking of innovative, you can always count on something new and spectacular from Shelton Benjamin. He delivered the first big spot of the night: A headfirst flip dive off a ladder on the floor onto a group of guys. In another cool spot, Benjamin and Christian both teetered off the ladder and appeared to be going over the top rope together, but Christian manged to catch himself on the top rope and re-balance the ladder.
One of these years, Benjamin needs to be rewarded for all his talent and risk-taking with a win in one of these matches. The other guy who really stood out was Kofi Kingston.

WWE Stars Upset With AXXESS Commitments
Some WWE talent were told to work the WrestleMania Axxess event tomorrow night. As a result, they will not be able to attend the annual Hall of Fame ceremony. As you would imagine, a number of those asked are upset — to put it mildly.
Here is the talent schedule for tomorrow evening:
Session #3
7 - 9 p.m. CT: Superstar appearances by Kane, Rosa Mendes, Santino Marella, Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne, Jillian & more!
Session #3
9 - 11 p.m. CT: Superstar appearances by MVP, Alicia Fox, Jesse, Festus & more!
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be taking place from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m or so.

Personally...I can understand them being upset...the HOF is a big deal, right? So why wouldn't the WWE want ALL their roster there?

WWE: Five Things To Watch For On Sunday
Numerous questions hang over this Sunday's Wrestlemania 25. Will The Undertaker's winning streak continue? Will Mickey Rourke mix it up with Chris Jericho? Will the Money in the Bank ladder match and the Extreme Rules deliver unique, awe inspiring stunts? Will WWE legends make unexpected appearances? Look for our complete preview on Sunday morning. But for now we look at five questions that will be answered on Sunday night.
2. Who will win the Money in the Bank ladder match, and what does that say about the vision of the company going forward?
Traditionally the Money in the Bank ladder match has been used to elevate young stars to a main event level, sometimes more effectively than others. With badly deserving stars like Shelton Benjamin and MVP in the match, as well as a still-ripe but talented rookie in Kofi Kingston, the WWE has the opportunity to stock the pantry for when Batista, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Triple H eventually retire. But with Kane and Mark Henry in the match they also have the opportunity to pull a short term stunt. They could give the contract to a vicious ‘monster’ who could strike at any time during the year. The angle would get a bad response from fans across the board. The only people who would be eating it up are in the same front office that promoted The Great Khali, Snitskey and Vladimir Kozlov to chants of “Boring!” and “You can’t wrestle!” The choice of the winner should send a clear message about whether the company plans to move forward or stay with the stars of the late 90s into the next decade.
