6/26 WWE Smackdown Hits & Misses: McMahon - Long, Truth vs. Benjamin, Morrison vs. Punk, Rage in the Cage
Smackdown Hits
Truth vs. Benjamin: This was a good match and it was nice to see an under card match like this given 11 minutes. R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin had a bit of a feud awhile back, but I don't recall enjoying their matches this much. They worked hard and out on a good match. I liked the promo from Benjamin before hand, just giving some context to the match and making it a bit personal. It doesn't take much to make the fans want to see a babyface like Truth take out a heel like Benjamin, and his pre-match promo did the trick. On a side note, while I don't love it, I like the flying / flipping forearm from Truth as a finisher more than the ax-kick. Has anyone since Tito Santana used a flying forearm for a finisher?

Full WWE Smackdown Results for June 26
Enter R-Truth. He raps his way to the ring. Shelton Benjamin comes in after the commercial break. He punks R-Truth for being from the street and calls him an underachiever. Then he puts over the fact that he went to college. Then he gives a quick lesson in proper English. Not a bad promo, actually.
R-Truth def. Shelton Benjamin with the Lie Detector. Not surprisingly, after being verbally cut down, R-Truth comes out on fire when the bell rings and takes control early. The match then settles in for back and forth action. It lasted a lot longer than one would expect from these two.

Match Five: Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, and Ricky Ortiz vs. R-Truth, Shad, and JTG
It's good to see Cryme Tyme and the World's Greatest Tag Team in action. Kind of a downgrade for Benjamin though. R-Truth does his normal rapping entrance with JTG and Shad yelling "Whats Up!". R-Truth is really over. Ortiz starts with JTG. Ortiz now wrestles in tights instead of his pants. Knees by Ortiz to JTG to start the match. JTG drops down and hits Ortiz in the throat. He gets a fast two count. Shad tags himself in and hits the back of Ortiz. Knees to the face follow. Ortiz retaliates with a knee to the stomach, but Shad fights back. Shad eventually gets crotched on the top rope attempting a big boot. Ortiz stomps away. Haas hits Shad with the referee's back turned. Ortiz covers and gets a two count. Ortiz is going after the leg now of Shad and slams it. Ortiz tags in Haas who continues the attack on the leg. Haas back him into the corner and kicks away and punches at the left leg of Shad. Shad comes back and tags in R-Truth. Haas tags in Benjamin. Benjamin catches R-Truth and slams him. He tries the Paydirt, but it's blocked. R-Truth punches Benjamin. Splits by R-Truth into a back kick get him a two count. All six men begin brawling all around the ring. Benjamin climbs to the top and misses a leap, no real move attempt. R-Truth hits a Corkscrew Spinning Elbow to pin Benjamin! Wow, who'd he anger?
Winners: R-Truth, JTG, and Shad when R-Truth pinned Shelton Benjamin.

Smackdown - June 12th 2009
The announce team hyped Morrison and Truth vs. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team for next.
-Commercial-
Benjamin and Haas made their entrance together. Morrison and Truth came out separately. Morrison got a good pop and Truth had some 12 year old redhead scream when he touched her hand. He better be careful, they’re in Mississippi. I’m just sayin. Truth cut a promo on Haas and Benjamin. He compared them to Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer collaborating on a rap song. He said, “That’s the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the…” He let the crowd scream the last "truth!"
Match 3: John Morrison and R-Truth v. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas
Morrison and Benjamin started. Benjamin enticed Truth into the ring. The ref pushed him out and Haas blind sided Morrison, allowing Benjamin to take control. Benjamin worked on Morrison with strikes. He whipped Morrison to the ropes and Morrison hit an around the world side Russian leg sweep. Truth tagged in and got whipped to the corner by Benjamin. Benjamin tried for the Stinger Splash, but Truth hit him and rolled backwards up to a sitting position on the top turnbuckle. Haas tried to attack him, but Truth kicked him to the floor. Benjamin leapt to the top and hit a double arm superplex. Truth rolled to the floor and recovered into the commercial.
-Commercial-
Back at 5:30, Benjamin had a chin lock on Truth. Truth fought out but Benjamin hit a Samoan Slam for two. He tagged in Haas and slammed Truth onto Haas’s knee. Haas aggressively tossed Truth into the corner and covered for two. He locked in another chin lock. Truth fought out again, but Haas hit two stiff kicks and then a belly to belly for two. He went back to a front headlock. Truth tried to fight out, but Haas hit a single leg take down to stop him. Finally, Truth hit a Sunset Flip and let go to make the hot tag at 8:30.
Morrison hit a springboard dropkick on Haas. He took Benjamin out and moved when Haas charged in. Haas hit the turnbuckle and Morrison hit his springboard Chuck Kick. Benjamin came in the ring and got tossed to the floor by Truth. Haas tossed Truth. Haas caught Morrison’s kick attempt and tried to drive him to the mat. Morrison caught himself with one hand and hit a Pele like kick. Morrison hit the Moonlight Drive, followed Starship Pain for the win.
John Morrison and R-Truth defeated Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas at 9:51.
